Who we are and when these terms apply

This website is operated by Midtrans Shipping And Services LLC, Deira, Port Saeed, Al Makateb Building, Office No. 611, Dubai - UAE. These terms apply whenever you use www.mid-trans.com or its tools. By using the website you accept them.

Information on the website is guidance

We work to keep the website accurate and current, but freight rates, transit times, customs tariffs, regulations and schedules change often. The information on this website, including the HS code and customs tariff pages, market briefs and route pages, is general guidance only. It is not a binding offer and it is not legal or customs advice.

Tools and calculators are indicative

The freight, volume, container-loading, duty and invoice tools give indicative results only. A calculator result, a route view or an answer in the chat window does not create a booking, a quotation, an invoice or a contract of carriage.

Quotations and bookings

A quotation is valid only when MIDTRANS sends it in writing, and only for the period and conditions stated in it. A booking is confirmed only when we confirm it in writing.

Each shipment is governed by the written quotation or booking confirmation, the transport documents of the carriers involved (such as the bill of lading, air waybill or CMR consignment note) and the international conventions that apply to that mode of transport.

Charges not included

Unless the quotation says otherwise, prices do not include duties, taxes, storage, demurrage, detention, inspection costs or other charges raised by carriers, ports, terminals or authorities. These are charged at cost when they arise.

Your responsibilities as shipper

You must describe the goods correctly, declare their weight, dimensions and value, declare dangerous goods, provide complete and true documents, and make sure the goods may legally be exported from origin and imported at destination.

You are responsible for costs, fines and delays caused by wrong or missing information.

Goods we may refuse

We may refuse or stop goods that are prohibited, sanctioned, unsafe, wrongly declared or not accepted by the carrier, at any stage and without liability for doing so.

Liability

Our liability for loss of or damage to goods is limited as set out in the transport documents and international conventions that apply to the shipment. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as loss of profit or loss of market, or for delays caused by carriers, ports, authorities, weather or other events outside our control.

Cargo insurance

Cargo insurance is not included in a quotation unless you ask for it in writing and we confirm it in writing.

Payment

Invoices are payable as stated on the invoice. Where the law allows, we may hold goods or documents until the amounts due for them are paid.

Intellectual property and use of data

The text, design, logos, photos and tools on this website belong to MIDTRANS or are used under licence. You may view and print pages for your own use. You may not copy the website or its data in bulk, including automated collection of the tariff pages, without our written permission.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the forms or the chat window, send false enquiries, try to reach systems or data that are not yours, or send passwords, card numbers or other sensitive information through the website. Links to carriers, authorities, app stores and social networks are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content. How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute.
